Everyone at one time or another needs a little help. That assistance can come as a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen.
The United Way of Lawrence County is the body that owns those helping hands, broad shoulders and listening ears. The organization works as a fundraising vehicle for a variety of health and human services in Lawrence County in an effort to impact the community in a positive manner.
Through an extensive volunteer allocations review board, the United Way of Lawrence County is able to fund 19 agencies locally. The United Way is able to keep fund raising cost low by utilizing a network of 200 annual campaign volunteers.
